The beautifully restored Northport Theatre for the Performing Arts is
currently hosting the Long Island premiere of "Brooklyn Boy", a BareBones
Production, written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Donald Margulies. It's
been forty years since there has been a live performance on this Northport
stage.
Councilman Stuart P. Besen recently attended one of the performances. Besen
stated, "This theatre brings back some special memories. I received my first
kiss in that balcony! Today we're so proud to have this theater renovated,
reopened and hosting such a vast array of entertainment."
Councilman Stuart Besen presented the Northport Arts Coalition, a non-profit
group of volunteers, a Town of Huntington Proclamation for their untiring
efforts in bringing Arts and Humanities to the area. Pictured, left to right,
