Refuse & Recycling Schedule for President's Day Holiday Week

The Department of Environmental Waste Management would like to remind all residents that there is no trash pick up in observance of the President's Day holiday, Monday, February 21, 2005. All residents will receive each of their three weekly collections, however the collection days have shifted (including the Wednesday recycling collection.) Recycling will be picked up later in the week, depending on where you live. Please read below to note the changes in collection days.

If your normal trash collection days are Monday and Thursday then your Monday garbage should be put out on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 before 6:00 A.M.. Your second pick up day will be Thursday, February 24, 2005. On Thursday put out both your household trash and your paper recycling. Two trucks will come through at different times and both will be collected. Recycling collection begins at 5:00 A.M. so please have both at the curb at this time.

If your normal trash collection days are Tuesday and Friday then your Tuesday garbage should be put out on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 before 6:00 A.M.. Your second pick up day will be Friday, February 25, 2005. On Friday put out both your household trash and your paper recycling. Two trucks will come through at different times and both will be collected. Recycling collection begins at 5:00 A.M. so please have both at the curb at this time.

The trash pick up and recycling schedule returns to normal for the week of February 28 through March 4, 2005. Glass, metal and platic recycling will be collected on Wednesday, March 2, 2005.
