Councilwoman
Susan A. Berland honored the Learning Center at Town Board on December
15th, for their hard work, dedication, and kindness to members of the
Huntington community. Councilwoman
Berland
specifically highlighted the truly compassionate assistance that Rita O'
Malley Murphy, the Program Director of the Learning Center and her staff
provided to Mr. and Mrs. Carvajal and their daughter Sydney while Mr. Carvajal
is serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Councilwoman Berland also presented a plaque on behalf of the United
States Army recognizing the Learning Center for its helping our servicemen and
their families.
