The State Department of Transportation advises that Route 110 near the Northern State Parkway will be partially or totally closed this weekend to allow for demolition of the Parkway bridge over Route 110.

             Beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday March 10 and continuing until 10 p.m., only a single lane of traffic will remain open in each direction.

             At 10 p.m. Saturday and continuing throughout Sunday March 11, Route 110 will be fully closed to traffic except for a single southbound lane between Schwab Road and Northern State Parkway to allow access to local businesses.

             The State DOT plans to fully reopen Route 110 by 5 a.m. Monday March 12 in time for the morning commute.

             The state DOT strongly encourages drivers to use alternate routes.
