Councilwoman Berland surrounded by bowling tournament participants

Councilwoman Susan A. Berland was on hand at the Adults with Developmental Disabilities Saturday Recreation Program’s 21^st Anniversary Bowling Tournament Award Ceremony Saturday, February 4 to congratulate the participants on their performance.

 This year’s bowling tournament had approximately 80 participants and each of them received an event t-shirt and medal to mark their participation. Councilwoman Berland cheered on these inspiring bowlers and helped celebrate the program’s twenty-first year.

 “It is good to visit every year and this year especially to award each participant with a medal,” commented Councilwoman Berland. “The Adult Saturday Recreation Program provides adults with developmental disabilities with the opportunity to interact with one another, have fun bowling and participating in a variety of activities. I commend its coordinators, Mike and Carol Solimando and all of the volunteers. I look forward to continuing my support of this program.”
