Councilwoman Berland with Concertmaster Lisa Leonardi and Leila Zogby and Richard Hyman of the Northport Symphony Orchestra

Huntington, NY – Councilwoman Susan A. Berland presented Northport Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Lisa Leonardi with a proclamation from the Town of Huntington at a private event held for the orchestra Tuesday evening.  Ms. Leonardi was honored for her tireless dedication to the orchestra and for her many contributions to the music community.

Leonardi is a founding member of the Northport Symphony Orchestra, which was established in 2007. She is a music teacher at Huntington High School and the director of its orchestra.  Ms. Leonardi also serves as the President of the New York American String Teachers Association.
 
"It was a pleasure to join the Northport Symphony Orchestra in honoring Lisa Leonardi this evening," commented Councilwoman Berland. "Lisa is an invaluable member of our Town's music community and has made countless contributions to the Northport Symphony Orchestra.  I commend her hard work and dedication and wish her the best in her future endeavors."
