Councilman Mark Mayoka shared a special day on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at the Half Hollow Hills and Birchwood School fields with the many soccer teams, players, parents, coaches and various soccer clubs at the St. Elizabeth's CYO Soccer festival benefitting Danny Alini, a little boy with leukemia. Participating soccer teams travelled from as far as Valley Stream to Yaphank.

The turnout was fantastic and over $5,000 was raised between the tournament raffles, T-shirts and donations. Soccer Club President Mr. John Kozlowski was there to oversee the tournament and Mr. James Martin coordinated an outstanding day, enjoyed by all who attended. Tommy and Jaclyn Alini were grateful for the outpour of generosity for their son, Danny.
