Councilwoman Berland reads to students at Signal Hill Elementary School

Huntington, NY - Councilwoman Susan A. Berland was on hand at Signal Hill Elementary School in Dix Hills Wednesday morning to participate in the school's annual Parents as Reading Partners event.  The Councilwoman joined Mrs. Lang and Mrs. Passerello's first grade students and read several books that have belonged to her since her childhood.

"It was a pleasure for me to participate in Signal Hill Elementary School's Parents as Reading Partners event," commented Councilwoman Berland.  "The benefits of reading to a child on a daily basis from an early age are invaluable.  I commend Signal Hill Elementary School for making reading a top priority in their classrooms and I thank them for inviting me to be a part of this special day."
