Councilwoman Berland and the Huntington Town Board with League champion team Long Island Tides

Huntington, NY - Councilwoman Susan A. Berland presented the National Junior Baseball League's Long Island Tides with an official proclamation from the Town of Huntington at last night's Town Board meeting.  The Long Island Tides were the American League champions last season with a record of 9-2.  They had 97 offensive runs in their season and only allowed for their opponents to score 30 runs against them.

"It is a pleasure for me to honor the Long Island Tides for being League champions this evening," commented Councilwoman Berland.  "They are a very talented group of young athletes who are dedicated to their sport.  I wish them the best of luck next season and in their future endeavors."
