The Town Board recognized Peter Breslin last Tuesday

Huntington, NY - Councilwoman Susan A. Berland and the Town Board awarded 16 year-old Huntington YMCA lifeguard Peter Breslin a proclamation during Tuesday's Town Board meeting.  On May 12, Breslin was working as a lifeguard at Huntington YMCA when he heard and responded to a cry for help.  He discovered a person unconscious and in distress and made sure a hasty 911 call was made as he stayed with the victim.  The person suffered no permanent damage due to Breslin's bravery and good will.

"This act of heroism deserves to be rewarded," said Councilwoman Berland, "Peter should be very proud of himself for a job well done."
