MISSION:

You may visit the individual pages for the elected members of the Town Board by clicking on the link for Elected Officials. The Town Board is the governing body of the Town and consists of the Supervisor and the four Council Members.  The Board enacts Town Ordinances and Local Laws, adopts an annual budget, controls the Town's finances and appoints all department heads and their deputies.  Under the reorganization in September, 1982, all town offices were departmentalized.

The Board of Trustees is considered a separate body, but consists of the Supervisor as President and the four Council Members who serve as Trustees.  This Board is responsible for the leasing, sale, and management of certain Town properties consisting mainly of underwater land and waterfront property.
